CONCERNING DOMESTIC SHIPPING QUOTES:

We offer free domestic shipping on orders $125.00 or more.

All domestic orders are accompanied by a tracking number you may use to track your package's progress at USPS.com.  Packages with a total weight of 13 ounces or less are eligible for First-Class shipping with an estimated time of arrival of 3 to 5 days from when your order has shipped.  All packages over 13 ounces must ship via Priority or flat rate options per USPS guidelines and typically arrive in 2-3 days from when your order has shipped.


Depending on the size of your order (weight or quantity) you will see additional shipping methods displayed above the USPS.COM rate at checkout.  These custom shipping methods were created to offer you the use of the USPS Flat Rate shipping prices.  Below are the custom shipping methods you will see if applicable. 

USPS PRIORITY FLAT RATE - BY WEIGHT ~ This option will be displayed if your order weights over certain price thresholds.  Select this option if the rate is cheaper than the provided USPS.COM rate.

USPS PRIORITY FLAT RATE- BY QUANTITY
~ This option will be displayed if your order contains 5 or more items.  Select this option if the rate is cheaper than the provided USPS.COM rate.


Our custom shipping methods were created to ship orders that weigh 1.1lbs or more to the west coast or orders that have a quantity of 5 or more items. 

USPS PRIORITY is a live quote directly from USPS.COM and will be displayed underneath the custom shipping options next to the USPS icon.

SHIPPING OF 60 ML EDP SPRAYS:  The 60 ml EDP sprays are shipped via USPS Parcel Post.  This is the slowest ground method and may take approximately 8 days to arrive domestically.  EDPs are not eligible for international shipping aside from the 3.3 ml sample sprays.  We are working on a solution for our international customers to be able to purchase the 60 mls.  IMPORTANT:
  If you order a full size EDP as well as other items from our catalog, your whole order must ship via USPS Parcel Post.  If you'd like your other items to ship faster, you must place a separate order and pay separate shipping costs and leave a comment in both of your orders that you wish for them to be shipped separately.  We automatically combine multiple orders so if you wish for multiple orders to be shipped separately, you must leave a comment on your orders.

CONCERNING INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING QUOTES:


USPS PRIORITY INTERNATIONAL FLAT RATE - BY WEIGHT only takes effect for Canada, New Zealand and The Netherlands when the order weighs over 4 lbs., otherwise the order will ship USPS First-Class International unless you select the USPS Priority option.  USPS First-Class International is NOT trackable or insurable and generally arrives to Canada within 6 to 12 days and to other countries within 9 days to one month (most often within 9 to 14 days).  We are not responsible for First Class packages once they ship.  Please select USPS Priority if you would like the option to track your order and/or insure your order.  Please contact us at
customerservice@solsticescents.com if you would like to purchase insurance and we will invoice you separately.   Insurance is generally very affordable and is recommended on International orders.

If you do not live in Canada, New Zealand or The Netherlands and your order is eligible for
USPS PRIORITY INTERNATIONAL FLAT RATE - BY WEIGHT shipping as a more cost effective alternative to the USPS Priority quote provided at checkout, you may checkout and we will refund you the full difference and ship using that method.

Customers are responsible for duty and import fees for your country.  Please know your countries' importation guidelines!  All orders are shipped and tracking info showing the label has been printed is provided for you, though the package is not trackable as discussed in the first paragraph of this section.  Our International shipping success rate is extremely high.  The only trouble we have ever encountered was with packages shipped to Italy. 

We will not forge customs slips or mark them as a gift.  Thank you for your understanding.

60 ml EDP sprays are not eligible to ship internationally.

Attention customers in Italy: Your country does not allow the importation of perfumes, bath and body care or cosmetics.  We apologize but we are not able to accept orders from Italy.

Please verify your shipping address with PayPal is accurate prior to submitting your order.  Solstice Scents ships via USPS Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only.  Please allow up to 7 days for your order to ship (excluding holidays and Sundays).

Products are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive safely and undamaged.  Solstice Scents is not responsible for packages damaged in transit, lost or stolen packages.  Currently, we cannot offer additional insurance during checkout.  If you are interested in purchasing insurance or have a special shipping arrangement not covered at the checkout page please contact us at customerservice@solsticescents.com and we will arrange something for you.  Buyer is responsible for contacting USPS to recover losses incurred due to a lost, damaged or stolen insured item.

Solstice Scents issues refunds for shipping overcharges of $1.50 or more to you within approx. one week from when your order has shipped.

You need to verify your shipping choice is correct when you are redirected from PayPal back to our site and before you click to complete your order on our site.

While we cannot guarantee it, we make every effort to combine your orders should you place more than one in the course of 24 hours, aside from the 60 ml EDPs which must ship via USPS Parcel Post.  See below:

HELP!  I AM TRYING TO CHECKOUT AND EACH TIME I ENTER MY PHONE NUMBER I GET AN ERROR CODE (OR ANY OTHER CHECKOUT PROBLEMS): 

This is most often due to customer error.  Make sure that your shipping and billing information is fully and correctly filled out.  Enter your phone number without any spaces (ex. 000111333444). As long as all of your information is fully complete, you should be able to proceed with checkout.  If you are paying with PayPal, you will land back on our checkout page.  Make sure to click "checkout" at the bottom right to finalize your order!  If you continue to have trouble, please copy and paste what the error message says and the problem you are experiencing and send to customerservice@solsticescents.com.  You may also want to make sure that the site is allowed if you are using a script blocker. 


HOW FAST IS THE TURNAROUND TIME?:
Most orders will ship within 48 hours after we receive payment of your order.  Solstice Scents ships via USPS Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.  If your order is placed before 2 pm EST on a weekday, you will often enjoy same day shipping.




I DID NOT RECEIVE MY ORDER.  WILL YOU RESHIP OR REFUND ME?

We do not replace or refund for lost, stolen, damaged or misdelivered packages.  Once an order leaves our door, we cannot control how USPS handles the package.  When you checkout, please make sure your shipping address is accurate.  If you have had issues with receiving packages at your shipping address, you may want to consider shipping to a more reliable address you have access to.  We rarely have trouble with packages reaching their destinations.  On the few occasions where domestic packages have not arrived, most have been to apartment complexes and twice to dorms.  This could be due to poor handling from the carrier or your on-site leasing office.  If your packages are ever delivered on your doorstep, a neighbor could have swiped it or the package could have been misdelivered.  This is what I advise when you have not received your order, whether you are having it delivered to a home, apartment, dorm or work address:

1. All packages are shipped with a delivery confirmation number (aka tracking number).  When you receive a shipping notice, make sure to track your order.  Make sure customerservice@solsticescents.com is allowed by your email so you may receive your invoice and shipping notice.

2. If you have tracked your order and your item shows it was delivered but you have checked your box (or leasing office, or front door, etc) and it is nowhere to be found, this is where time is of the essence.  Call your post office IMMEDIATELY.  Ask to speak to the carrier that services your area (identify yourself by address, neighborhood/apartment complex/office complex/dorm name, if there is a name).  Most likely your carrier won't be there but the carriers do often go to and from the post office several times per day.  Leave your phone number so your carrier can return your call.  When s/he does, let him/her know where you live, that you were expecting a package that had delivery confirmation and that the tracking scan shows it was delivered at X time on X date.  Provide the tracking number to your carrier.  Since the carrier physically has to scan all packages with delivery confirmation, they will probably have a good recollection of what they did with your package and more often than not will retrieve it from the incorrect address and deliver it to you (usually the next day)!

3. If you tried the post office but were unable to reach your carrier, go ahead and write a note detailing everything in #2 and put it in your mailbox with the flag up so that your carrier will see it the next day.  Leave your phone number on the note as well.  The most important thing is that you work quickly and diligently to establish contact with your carrier as you have a really good chance of receiving your missing order!  It is important that you actually track your package so that you know where it is and will know if something is wrong.

DOES SOLSTICE SCENTS OFFER FREE SAMPLES?:
Yes!  You will be able to select a free perfume sample at the checkout screen below the payment options.  You may also purchase our perfume samples by clicking here.



REWARDS POINTS PROGRAM:
The rewards points program was discontinued on 5.15.16.  Several newsletters and social media updates were sent out for the preceding two months before the termination of the program in an effort to give customers fair warning to redeem their points.  There is no longer any way to redeem points for a gift certificate now that the program has been terminated. We apologize for any inconvenience.






WHY ARE CERTAIN SCENTS ONLY AVAILABLE IN CERTAIN PRODUCTS?:
This may be due to the cost of higher priced essential oils or because our testing found that a certain blend did not perform well with regards to staying power or did not stay true to the blend in a particular product.  For example,  Seance has been attempted as a perfume and it smells dramatically different than the deep, musky and spicy scent of the bar soap, so it is only available in that format.  For a comprehensive list of fragrances and the products in which they are available please consult our master scent reference.




DOES SOLSTICE SCENTS ACCEPT CUSTOM ORDERS?:
No, Solstice Scents makes items in small batches and only sells in-stock products that are ready to ship.





CAN I ORDER SEASONAL SCENTS IN THE 'CHOOSE YOUR OWN' PERFUME SAMPLE PACKS?:
Yes.  Please read the sample 5 and 10 packs carefully.  All instructions are provided on these listings as well as a link to which seasonal collection is currently available. 




DO I NEED AN ACCOUNT TO PLACE AN ORDER?:
No.  You may place an order without having an account and checkout via Paypal or by using your credit card.  If you create a Solstice Scents account, you will be able to checkout faster on future purchases as your contact and shipping info will already be saved in the system and you will be able to create product wishlists. 





DO YOU SELL MULTIPLE SIZES OF PRODUCTS?  IF SO, WHERE CAN I FIND THEM?:
We are primarily a perfumery but when companion bath and body products are offered, the Whipped Soaps and Sugar Scrubs are offered in 8 oz. sizes and Ganaches, Face Masques and Glaces are available in 4 oz. sizes. 




WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF SOLSTICE SCENTS PERFUME OILS?:
Most of our perfume oils are good for several years.  We use rice bran oil as a carrier oil.  Due to rice bran's high anti-oxidant content, it has a very good shelf life. 

Storing your oils appropriately will affect the shelf life.  Be careful to store your Solstice Scents products, especially perfumes, out of direct sunlight and in a cool place as heat and light can age the products.



ARE YOUR PRODUCTS VEGAN?:
Our Ganache, Dead Sea Salt Milk Bath (no actual milk), Burnishing Glace, Botanical Toners, Home Fragrance Oils, Glycerine Soap (with the exception of the Botanical Beauty Bar, which contains honey), Sugared Amber Scrubs, Turbinado Scrubs and Whipped Soaps are all Vegan. The Oatmeal Face Masque and Exquisite Face Masque are not Vegan as they contain Honey Power and Coconut Milk Powder.  Our Perfume oils are all Vegan with the exception of Inquisitor, which contains beeswax absolute.  If a product contains ingredients that are not Vegan, it will say so clearly on the listing.



ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SAFE FOR PREGNANT OR NURSING MOTHERS?: We receive this question frequently.  My personal opinion is to avoid all fragranced and/or essential oil products while pregnant or nursing, especially in the first trimester.  You may do your own research on the safety of using perfumes and fragrances while pregnant or nursing.  Essential oils, fragrances and absolutes may pass into the bloodstream and may even cross the placental barrier.  Not all oils are of concern, but Mothers should be cautious, especially in the first tri-mester.  Some essential oils stimulate menstruation, are abortifacient, lower blood pressure and produce a myriad of other effects internally and externally and it is advised you exercise caution and be informed.  Products which contain oils that we are aware should not be used while pregnant or nursing contain a warning at the top of the listing, above the description, though we still feel that unscented products are better for pregnant or nursing mothers.  You may also wish to spray your perfumes conservatively on clothing instead of wearing them directly on the skin or try a few sprays of Glace combed through your dry hair or a little of the perfume oil rubbed in your hair.
